Assistant Accountant

Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a fast paced growing business near Okehampton.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of accounting projects and supporting with monthly accounting duties:

• Project work including fixed asset project, capital expenditure projects, systems and process improvements.
• Supporting monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and income reconciliations.
• Investigating and resolving accounts discrepancies.
• Posting accounting journals and maintaining supporting schedules
• Assisting with management of cashflow, budget/forecast analysis and sales analysis.
• Supporting with group reporting requirements.

Salary: £38,000 – £40,000pa + great benefits and progression
Location: On site role with parking
Hours: Full time, Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 5pm, some flexibility on start and finish.
Start Date: ASAP
Please note employment will be offered on a 12month contract initially with strong potential for the role to become permanent.

Assistant Accountant – The Person:

• The successful candidate will have a proactive, friendly personality and enjoy being in a busy, varied role.
• Recent accounts experience including undertaking project based work and management accounting is essential.
• You will need to be organised and able to work using your own initiative.
• A desire to learn and grow your accounts knowledge and skills.
• IT skills including Excel (formulas, look ups etc), knowledge of Sage 200 is a bonus!
