Accounts Assistant – 12 month contract

Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing fast-paced business at their office on the outskirts Exeter initially on a 12 month contract. Working as part of a small friendly accounting team, the Accounts Assistant will be supporting the team to ensure a timely and effective finance function. This is a varied and hands-on finance role with duties including:

• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers
• Processing invoices and expenses
• Issuing sales invoices and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconciliations of bank statements and credit card transactions
• Identifying and resolving any discrepancies
• Maintaining financial spreadsheets such as income
• Supporting the month end accounting duties and variance analysis
• Assisting cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Reporting and supporting with budget monitoring
• Producing ad hoc reports and project work as required

Accounts Assistant – The Rewards:

Salary: £28,000pa – £32,000pa depending on experience/qualifications

Benefits: Free parking, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, and much more

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week min in the office

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: 12 month contract initially.

Accounts Assistant – The Person:

This role will suit a proactive accounts assistant, with recent experience of reconciliations, purchase and sales ledger.

You’ll possess strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and be proficient in Excel.

A confident communicator, you will be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with colleagues at all levels in the business.

You’ll be able to plan and prioritise own work, able to work unsupervised, and be keen to learn and to take on new challenges as the business grows.
