Accounts Assistant

Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a growing business in Bridgwater.  This is a super opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to be an integral part of the small finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties:

• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger.
• Preparing supplier bank payments.
• Bank postings and reconciliations.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register.
• Preparing and posting the month end adjustments for accrual, deferred income, prepayments, accrued income, depreciation etc.
• Dealing with supplier payment queries
• Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies.

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000pa + benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, etc

Location: On site role

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri, some flexibility on start and finish times.

Start Date: Immediate start available although not essential.

Accounts Assistant – The Person:

• The successful candidate will be proactive, friendly and enjoy being in a busy role.
• Recent accounts experience including purchase and sales ledger as well as bank reconciliations is essential.
• Good IT skills including MS Excel, experience of Sage is desirable.
• You will need to be organised and able to work using your own initiative.
